How much did Pokémon card prices move this week?
The typical card didn't move at all: the median change across 3,748 English cards at $20 and up was 0.0% for the week from October 5 to October 12, 2026.[1] That doesn't mean nothing happened.
More cards rose than fell. 42% went up and 32% went down, and the rest ended the week where they started. So the middle stayed put even though plenty of cards moved one way or the other.
Which cards rose the most?
Giovanni's Persian (First Edition) from Gym Challenge led the week, moving +47% from $160 to $235. Close behind was Kyogre ex - 037 (EX Collector's Tins), a Nintendo Promos card, at +45%, from $183 to $266.
The numbers
| Group | Value |
|---|---|
| Giovanni's Persian (First Edition) (now $235) | +47% |
| Kyogre ex - 037 (EX Collector's Tins) (now $266) | +45% |
| Moo-Moo Milk (now $70.00) | +27% |
| Lugia EX (Team Plasma) (now $109) | +25% |
| Rampardos (now $34.19) | +24% |
| Lugia EX (Team Plasma) (now $49.48) | +21% |
| Inteleon VMAX - 079/264 (now $150) | +20% |
| Slowbro (now $93.52) | +20% |
Most of the top risers come from older sets, like Gym Challenge, Expedition, Platinum and EX FireRed & LeafGreen. Lugia EX (Team Plasma) shows up twice, once from Plasma Storm and once from Legendary Treasures. The data shows they rose in the same week. It doesn't say why.
One card stands out: Moo-Moo Milk from Expedition, a Common, rose +27% to $70. Market prices follow recent sales, and a card that trades rarely can jump on just a few of them. Treat a move like that with care.
Which cards fell the most?
Mega Eelektross ex - 278/217 from ME: Ascended Heroes fell the most, moving −27% from $27.47 to $20.09. Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex from the same set was next at −19%.
The numbers
| Group | Value |
|---|---|
| Mega Eelektross ex - 278/217 (now $20.09) | −27% |
| Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex (now $41.49) | −19% |
| Lugia (now $180) | −18% |

| Pikachu ex - 179/131 (now $48.85) | −16% |
| Alakazam ex - 201/165 (now $58.59) | −15% |
| Salamence ex - 187/159 (now $42.99) | −15% |
The fallers lean the other way from the risers: newer sets, and mostly Special Illustration Rares. Five of the eight are that rarity. Two Pikachu ex cards made the list, 150/128 from ME: 30th Celebration and 179/131 from SV: Prismatic Evolutions.
The priciest card on this side was Lugia from ME: 30th Celebration Classic Collection, which went from $220 to $180.
How much should you read into one week?
Not a lot on its own. A week is short, and some of these moves will reverse, so this report says what moved, not what happens next.
To keep out noise, we compared each card's TCGplayer market price over the last three days with the same three days a week earlier, using the middle value each time so a one-day blip doesn't count. A card only made the list if it was worth $20 or more at both ends and its price changed at least three times this month, so stale prices are left out.
Even a big weekly jump can shrink once you sell. If you're curious how far a card has to climb before a sale pays, see how much a card must rise to profit. And if you want to follow any of these yourself, Pokelit prices English and Japanese cards every night from TCGplayer prices and lets you watch cards.

How we measured
We compared each English card’s TCGplayer market price over the last three days with the same three days a week earlier, using the middle value each time so a one-day blip doesn’t count. A card is included only if it’s worth $20 or more at both ends and its market price has changed at least three times this month, so stale prices are left out.
